Join Indonesian designer Singgih Kartono (Spedagi and Magno) at MakerSpace &company in Marrickville for a bike building hackathon. We will be experimenting, hacking and tinkering with bamboo bicycles using the Spedagi bicycle as a departure point.
This highly collaborative workshop explores the bicycle as an object as well as a global symbol of social change. Be ready to hack, weld, hammer and ride.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own bikes and ideas. Designs generated in this workshop will contribute to a project to deliver bikes to Kandos, NSW, for Cementa 2017.
Cost: $60 covers materials and lunch.
This workshop is for makers who have previously built bikes or who have some interest in bike design.
