Akira Isogawa In Conversation

Book Now

Join us for an exclusive evening in conversation with Akira Isogawa.

Known for his fusion of Asian tradition with Australian ease, Akira Isogawa is one of our country’s most loved and celebrated designers. Hosted by writer, broadcaster and the Director of Programming at Golden Age Cinema Kate Jinx, Akira joins MAAS Senior Curator Roger Leong to explore both Akira’s practice and the development of the Akira Isogawa exhibition. This exhibition is the first to explore his career of more than 25 years, revealing the background, impulses and cultural influences that have contributed to the making of a fashion original.

Ticket price also includes the opportunity to view the Akira Isogawa exhibition. On Monday 4 March doors will open at 6pm, which will allow a half hour window to view the exhibition before the event starts at 6:30pm. After the In conversation ends, the Akira Isogawa exhibition will also be open for another hour until 9pm as a special after hours viewing.
