Join neuroscientist and illusions expert Dr Kim Ransley for a night of sensory distortion and deceptive design.  With the help of a mind-bending array of new and classic illusions, Kim will showcase the many ways in which the brain distorts our perceived reality, and discuss how our knowledge of these can be used to produce built objects with functional advantages as well as intriguing forms.

Kim conducts research into sensory perception at the University of Sydney. She is an enthusiastic science communicator and has been a regular contributor at the Sydney Science Festival, and Sci-Fight comedy debates.
