Creating Cultural Anchors is a symposium for the 2019 Sydney Design Festival, examining the role and impact that the architecture and urban design of cultural institutions have in shaping civic identity, public identification of place with the arts, and in catalysing existing and emerging creative communities. This event will bring together different stakeholders in a discussion about the future of Parramatta, of Greater Sydney in relation to arts and culture, and in a global context, focusing upon the nature of architecture and art institutions.
