Agora, commissioned by MAAS and created by Penhale and Winter in collaboration with Kieran Murnane, celebrates shared experiences and the act of gathering by inviting Sydney’s occupants, young and old, to wander, explore and discover within a series of immersive spaces. Composed of utilitarian materials, the design explores a classical arrangement to create an environment of walls, colonnades and rooms which fashion a contemporary Agora, a meeting place within the city for the discussion of art, science and design.

On Friday 1 March 2pm, please join the architects in conversation with Peter Denham, (MAAS Director, Curatorial, Collections & Exhibitions) to gain behind the scenes insight into the project.

Visit the structure daily to experience design spots talks at 11am and 2pm, join a tour, hear from volunteers and more!
