Hey architects, talk like a human

Book Now

Bespoke. Design-focused. Multidisciplinary. Design thinking. Blah, blah, blah.

The same words keep getting used over and over in the architecture & design world. This jargon-stuffed language is suffocating and lacks humanity.

Using designspeak makes sense when communicating with peers or within academia. However, it’s easy to forget that not everyone is an architect and understands the nuances of design language.

It’s time to place your ego on your ergonomic desk, tuck your vanity into the back pocket of your black jeans, and speak like a human. Cutting the jargon takes guts. You need to be vulnerable. You can’t hide behind words. You need to say exactly what you stand for and what you believe in.

Architects, it’s time to strip back the layers of obscurity—so everyone can enjoy, understand and truly connect with the stories behind your beautiful work.

Join our panelists Nic Granleese (co-founder of Bowerbird), Nikita Morell (copywriter & marketing strategist for architects), Penny Craswell (The Design Writer) and moderator Ben Morgan & (co-founder of Bowerbird) as they discuss the relationship between architecture & language.
