Save Yourself

PRESENTED BY

Insitu Collaborative

Save Yourself installation.

Save Yourself is an installation by Jason Lu, Simon Palmer, Joseph Rowe, Thomas Stevens, photographer Cole Bennetts, VJ Jim Medcraft and sound designer John Benton, using architecture and electronic art for a more sustainable future. See how your actions and urbanisation can have negative repercussions on our environment.

Through technology, you’ll experience how your actions can affect the space around you. You can interact with the installation through a series of doors – each door represents a different pathway.

Make a choice and journey through a virtual story.  At the finale, you’ll encounter a room filled with used electronics with a live image projected of them on a series of second-hand TV screens, where you’ll be asked to give your thoughts on how “design can save the world”. Your response will be filmed and compiled to make a short clip on the audience’s opinions on the role of design in creating a more sustainable future.
