How to plant and tend an edible greenwall

PRESENTED BY

University of Technology, Sydney and the Powerhouse Museum

building your edible green wall 1

From Warrigal Greens to rocket, beetroot, parsley and rockmelons, you can create your own gourmet salad bar. In this talk, Sydney City Farm and edible gardening experts - including Cheryl Maddocks, Jess Miller, Auntie Beryl and Grant LaBrooy - will spill the beans on the right plants to suit your location and backyard, balcony, garden or concrete space!  And Auntie Beryl can introduce you to the delights of Indigenous food – you don’t know what you’ve been missing!

The edible gardening experts are: the Sydney Morning Herald’s gardening writer and horticulturalist, Cheryl Maddocks, Jess Miller of Grow It Local; Auntie Beryl of Yaama Dhiyaan Hospitality Training College and Gardener’s Lodge Café; Grant LaBrooy of Sydney’s well-known, one chef’s hat and award-winning sustainable café, Three Blue Ducks.

Before you leave, don’t forget to check out the Vertical Walls project in the Museum’s cafe.
