Parramatta Heritage Centre

Pull on your walking shoes for a guided tour through some of Parramatta’s more unusual buildings. You will explore one of Australia’s richest historical hotspots with a wealth of churches, bridges and historic homes that mark the evolution of this glorious area. A number of these historic buildings have been transformed by adaptive reuse, a process which adapts old structures for new purposes. Join us for a walk and talk through Parramatta’s rich built history as we highlight these clever and sometimes controversial adaptations.

Sydney Design events will be filmed by Powerhouse Museum staff and the content will be used by the Museum for promotion and this includes uploading into Powerhouse Museum accounts across a variety of third party platforms. If you do not wish to be filmed please inform the photographer/videographer at the time of the event.
